Justin Timberlake buys MySpace!

Justin Timberlake is ready to play a “major role” in the new direction of MySpace after he emerged as one of those behind a $35m deal for the ailing social network site. The singer turned actor took a stake in MySpace along with the online advertising company specific media. JT, the unlikely entrepreneur will “lead the business strategy” said media chief executive Tim Vangerhook while announcing the $35 million dollar deal on Wednesday afternoon.

Asked whether he thought Timberlake had been inspired by his star turn in The Social Network, Vanferhook said: “I don’t think it was so much that – that was just ironic. He’s really passionate about how can he create a better community.

Timberlake said in a statement: “There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favourite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. MySpace has the potential to be that place.

MySpace has shed billions from its price tag after being dethroned as the world leading social networking site in 2008 by online monster Face book and is also expected to shed more than half it’s 500 remaining staff as part of the deal following a 30% staff reduction in April last year which was followed by 47% cut in January. Two years ago MySpace employed more than 1,400 people.

Jennifer Aniston is fine

Jennifer Aniston has created a media storm with her latest movie role as a raunchy dentist in her new movie Horrible Bosses.
Horrible Bosses is a black comedy set to be released on the 22nd of July directed by Seth Gordan with actors such as Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell, and Jason Sudiekis as well as others starring a long side Aniston. Only the trailer has been released so far but it has managed to cause quite a lot of controversy. This is easily Aniston’s most daring role in an extremely long time seeing her move away from the romantic comedy she has focused on for the last part of her career to play the role of a man eating dentist who terrorises her assistant (played by Charlie Day), apparently making jokes very close to the bone. The trailer has been awarded a red band due to its high level of sexual content and profanity.

The film is about three friends, employed by three horrible bosses including a man eater, a psycho and a tool. The employees seek freedom from the wrath of the bosses by hiring a comical criminal, played by Jamie Foxx to murder the hellish employers.

This film on paper has the potential to be a brilliant comedy film with an excellent cast. July the 22nd will reveal all.

Youtbue search the trailer. It's worth it.

Gaga sued.

Today it has been announced Lady Gaga is being sued for $3 million dollars for allegadley pocketing some of the profits made from the white “We Pray for Japan” wristbands the artist began to sell in order to help Japan after an earthquake and tsunami left the country crippled earlier this year.

The 25 year old pop starlet has been served with a federal class action lawsuit by a Detroit legal network. She is claimed to have inflated postage costs and of wrongly adding sales tax allowing her to profit from the seemingly philanthropic act. The lawsuit claims that fans were charged £2.50 for shipping when the actual cost was 30p.

The lawsuit itself was filed under the Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organisation (RICO) act, which in the past has been used to file Catholic sex abuse cases and criminality against the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.  Ari Kresch, a lawyer from the 1-800-Law-Firm who has filed the lawsuit said the lawsuit was filed after being contacted by Gaga fans who felt they have been cheated. The lawyer stated "Our intention via this lawsuit is to uncover any improprieties committed by Lady Gaga and appropriate the full donations assumed to the victims in Japan."
The singer has often been praised for her philanthropic efforts, being very vocal in her support of gay rights, even leading a gay march throughout Rome earlier this month as well as being named the most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes magazine, based on her media visibility and social media popularity.

"While we commend Lady Gaga for her philanthropic efforts, we want to ensure that claims that 'all proceeds will be donated to Japan's earthquake' are in fact true," said Alyson Oliver, an attorney for 1800LAWFIRM.
Gaga is yet to comment on the issue.
